Our Mission

We are a trust working to establish an interdenominational, Christian school in Wellington that is creative and innovative. We want to equip our children for the world in which they live, and will live in.
Introducing Tūmanako Christian College for Wellington, from year 7 to year 13, due to open as soon as possible! Now is Wellington’s time.

Integration

We are happy to announce the commencement of negotiations for integration of the school with the Ministry of Education! There is a lot of work involved in gaining compliancy and showing our viability, so we will have a very busy year. A special thank you to the NZCPT for their wisdom and guidance as they lead us through this process. We are looking for a new venue in the area and raising funds for this (either purchase or lease). We appreciate their and your patience while we find a new site.

Expressions of Interest

To gather accurate information for our integration negotiations  and Tūmanako Christian College (for example roll caps, growth plans and resourcing), we are inviting people to share their interest in enroling their children at Tumanako Christian College. If you are interested in considering Tūmanako Christian College for your child or children in the future, please fill in the Expression of Interest form. It will help us enormously. Donations.

We need to have a 40% deposit on a property we wish to secure. Suitable sites in the area cost a minimum of $1.5 million; we are not all the way there yet, so would appreciate any support in this endeavour. If you would like to help us cover the remaining costs, our bank account number is  Kiwibank Account: Wellington Christian Education Trust 38-9015-0579650-00. Alternatively, you can press the Donate button below to make a deposit immediately by PoLi (it does this securely through Internet banking).

NZCPT

This is a project partnered and advised by the New Zealand Christian Proprietors’ Trust. The NZCPT aim to be a proprietor that partners with local communities throughout New Zealand to expand the provision of quality state-integrated Christian schooling. Some of the schools NZCPT partners with are Kingsway, Kingsgate, Chapman and Kingsview. NZCPT also has a strong relationship with Middleton Grange in Christchurch.
